Sir Terence Conran |

Sir Terence Conran was born in 1931 in England. He graduated from the Central
School of Arts and Crafts and became a furniture designer. In 1964 he opened England's first lifestyle shop in London,
and in 1973 opened the first The Conran Shop in London. He went on to open nine The Conran Shops in five cities around
the world, including Tokyo and Fukuoka. He is active in a number of other pursuits, including restaurant and hotel management
and writing. In 1983, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth in recognition of his achievements in design. |
